CDC Continues to Push Flu Vaccines in Louisiana Amid Busy Season
Description: Louisiana remains in the thick of states reporting a higher than normal number of flu cases. We are one of 29 states that are experiencing a robust flu season. The good news is that the vaccine that is in place works well against the strands of flu that are being reported; Influenza A, Influenza B and Influenza A (H3). The proportion of outpatient visits for influenza-like illness was 5.6% for the last week of December ; above the national baseline of 2.2%.
