Cyclone Strengthens Becoming Tropical Storm Chris
Description: The low pressure weather system churning near the lower northern coast of the Yucatan Peninsula has evolved into Tropical Storm Chis. The National Hurricane Center says the system remains disorganized, however surface pressures continue to fall in the vicinity of the disturbance. This creates conditions that are conducive to the formation of a tropical depression during the next day or two; as the system moves northward. Residents along the Gulf Coast are urged to keep up with the storm. You can always find the latest on the National Hurricane Center's website.
