State Auditors Give Grambling State University High Marks
Description: The Louisiana Legislative Auditor Office has given Grambling State University a clean bill of health, after the university fell short on its evaluations for several consecutive years. Grambling had trouble keeping up with movable property and with tax penalties and interest owed the university.
Grambling President Frank Pogue says cleaning up bookkeeping and keeping up with the university's property has been one of his primary goals since taking over the university in 2010. He hired a new director to take over grant applications and management of grant funds. He has also hired a new comptroller who has more than 25 years experience working in the Legislative Auditor's Office.
Dr. Pogue expressed relief that the university's financial integrity has been restored.
